A River Runs Through YouWe are standing on a bridge, Looking at the river exploding Three feet beneath our feet, Pacing like a caged tiger Under rubber soles and grey paving, Tightening rubber bands around Our balled-up, lusting curiosity.
We are standing on a contradiction, consuming moments that lock together with a symbiotic dynamite

Your eyes are foreign in a familiar way.
Luminous fish dart from unfathomable corners,
Piercing meaning suspended for an instant Before slipping into the dusky coral reefs of your irises;
And though this is an unfamiliar continent
I have seen shoals of fish in other eyes that
Frisson and weave with the same significance.
They wriggle down throats and spring out of mouths,
Curling into suffocated arabesques

Getting Over ItIt should have been absorbed by now. Seven months since it slid, a mercury tarantula, up my spine and settled, nestling in the soft hollow at the base of my skull, weighty and claustrophobic, leaking barbed barbiturate like the pulse of a dripping IV. An insomniac’s gritty-eyed feverish sting every time your face rose like nausea, a metallic tasting screech each time your voice simmered under the delicate machinery of inflamed eardrum; all began to feel normal, stultifying my own senses like an opiate, like the morphine I’ve never tried but you knew like morning orange juice. Haitus over!

Hey everyone,
My haitus is over, as you can see. I've started writing again, which has been painful and stirred up quite a lot of emotions, but is ultimately a really gratifying experience. Something creative inside me went into hibernation last year because I didn't have any of the emotional energy to power it; all my attention was being diverted into other things which were incredibly overwhelming and it's taken a while to truly get back into tapping into the writing.

So, two poems and more on the way, and possibly a one-act play that will be premiering at the Warwick Student Arts Festival.

Hey. Im new to this whole site thing but i have a question. So i want a tattoo and my favorite rose is a blue rose and i want a tattoo with music notes...i was looking through it and found your infinity blue rose and loved it. I just wanted to ask, to see if it was ok...could i use that as my tattoo?

I'd still like to have a picture of it even if your tattoo artist decides to edit it a bit, so that I know my original artwork has gone to a good place

Awe thanks! Yeah i will deffently send you pictures of it when its finished...Im not sure when i will be able to get it done lol but it is still nice to ask for future refrence...I think i want it done exactly like that but in the corner i want it to say Emily in cursive, that was my cousin that committed suicide april 2008...So yeah..but Thank you!
